The idea and the reality of children

There are so many reasons given for why people my age are having less children. We are a generation in debt. We are disillusioned with the institution of marriage. The studies continue. An undervalued factor is the sense that we don’t want to bring a child into a world that seems inevitably moving towards environmental disaster.
