I love learning scientific facts about the world. Discovering how a plant or animal operates makes it seem more wonderful to be alive. Yesterday I learned that the broken shells of sea turtles provide nutrients for beach vegetation. I’ve always been curious about the ecology of beaches. How do things like beach grass survive on so little? Now I know sea turtle shells help.
